Joe Meade joined Comcast Spectacor in 2021 and now serves as Vice President of Government and External Affairs. In this role Joe is charged with providing advice, influence, and managing relationships with the City of Philadelphia, Commonwealth of Pa., legislative/public policy partners, and other relevant government and civic related stakeholders. Additionally, Joe serves as the Co-Chair of NHL’s Government Relations Council focused on advocating legislative and policy developments that impact the efforts of the league to improve availability and awareness of the sport of hockey and brand with underrepresented audiences. 
 
Prior to Comcast Spectacor, Joe was Chief of Staff to the University President and Executive Director of Government and Community Affairs at La Salle University. During his tenure, he integrated an array of University activities and managed all day-to-day operations including personnel, financial management and provided coordination with members of the senior leadership team. He was also responsible for advancing opportunities and implementing activities that supported public funding goals for the University’s operations and capital expenses. Prior to La Salle, he was Executive Director of Government and External Affairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 
 
Joe is a graduate of West Chester University and earned a Master of Public Administration from Widener University.
